Dr. Julie's Bio
Dr. Julie is a Florida native and spent her childhood surrounded by the family dogs, cats, and geckos as well as the various puppies, kittens, raccoons, and birds that were brought home as patients by her mother (also a veterinarian). Dr. Julie went to Cornell University for her undergraduate education where she majored in Animal Science, minored in Natural Resources, and wrote an Honors Thesis in Nutritional Toxicology and Immunology. Prior to veterinary school, she worked at an emergency clinic, private practice, exotic specialist clinic, local shelter, and volunteered at two wildlife rehabilitation centers. She found her passion in shelter medicine and community outreach while in veterinary school at the University of Pennsylvania. After graduating in 2021 she moved to LaBelle with her three dogs, Keegan, Daffodil, and Alfie, and one cat, George. In her free time, Julie loves reading a good mystery book and kayaking.
