Julie McDonough, VMD
Veterinarian
Dr. Julie's Bio
Dr. Julie is a Florida native and spent her childhood surrounded by the family dogs, cats, and geckos as well as the various puppies, kittens, raccoons, and birds that were brought home as patients by her mother (also a veterinarian). Dr. Julie went to Cornell University for her undergraduate education where she majored in Animal Science, minored in Natural Resources, and wrote an Honors Thesis in Nutritional Toxicology and Immunology. Prior to veterinary school, she worked at an emergency clinic, private practice, exotic specialist clinic, local shelter, and volunteered at two wildlife rehabilitation centers. She found her passion in shelter medicine and community outreach while in veterinary school at the University of Pennsylvania. After graduating in 2021 she moved to LaBelle with her three dogs, Keegan, Daffodil, and Alfie, and one cat, George. In her free time, Julie loves reading a good mystery book and kayaking.
Rebecca Crum

Rebecca's Bio
Rebecca Crum is a born and raised 4th generation Hendry County resident and graduated from Labelle High School. She and her mother shared a lifelong love of saving animals, which resulted in a menagerie of dogs, cats, hogs, calves, birds, hamsters, gerbils, horses, and even an opossum growing up. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and her two girls-Jack Russell Terriers named Deetdeet and Mavis. She also comes with a love of her community, previously serving as the Swamp Cabbage Festival Board Treasurer and Labelle Cattlewomen’s Vice President, and is currently an active member of The Rotary Club of LaBelle District 6960.

Queila's Bio
Queila is a dedicated healthcare professional with a background in animal care and administration. She holds an associate’s degree in science and engineering in technology, which complements her practical experience in healthcare operations. Having owned just about every animal you can think of, Queila brings hands-on knowledge and enjoys fostering wildlife in her free time. She is committed to providing compassionate care, efficient administrative oversight, and advocating for best practices in animal well-being.

Paul's Bio
With over seven years of dedicated service at the shelter Paul is a passionate advocate for homeless animals in the community. Under his leadership, the shelter has successfully facilitated countless adoptions, helping animals find their forever homes. Paul is committed to animal welfare, ensuring each animal receives the care and attention they deserve. Paul actively collaborates with local organizations and volunteers to enhance adoption outreach and promote responsible pet ownership.
Debbie Dahlberg

Debbie's Bio
Debbie has been with Caloosa Humane Society for 4-1/2 years. She began as a kennel tech before becoming our Adoption Coordinator. Debbie is dedicated to finding loving, safe, and lasting homes for every animal in our care. With a passion for animal welfare and years of experience with animals, Debbie plays a critical role in matching our animals with their perfect families. Whether it is a playful kitten or a senior dog looking for a quiet home, Debbie ensures that every adoption is a positive & rewarding experience for both our pets and their new family.
When not working with our shelter animals, Debbie spends time with her 4, four legged kids. Her 2 goldens, Sailor & Alex, Roxy her foster failure Siberian Husky, and Kodiak, her Eskimo Husky, who she adopted from CHS. (Pictured)
